I love Hardin-Simmons University, and there are three reasons I give to my alma mater.

I was asked.
A number of years ago, a development officer asked me if I would financially support the university. As soon as I felt that I could afford it, I started giving by monthly bank draft. I've continued to give by this method ever since.

I want to give back.
As a student at HSU, I benefited from scholarships and grants, so I want to give back to help current students. I was blessed with wonderful experiences at Hardin-Simmons, and it's my desire that others will be as well. I would love to give more than I do, but I know my small monthly gifts, combined with those from many others, make a very positive impact on today's students.

I'm obligated to give.
As a member of the HSU Board of Development, I'm obligated to financially support the university. I believe that every member of every board should give. This isn't an obligation that I dislike; it's one that I embrace, because I consider it a privilege to give, support, and continue the mission of HSU.

If you aren't already giving to HSU, I hope you will start soon. Whether you can afford to give millions of dollars, or $10 a month, every gift matters. Contact Eric Bruntmyer, President, or one of our development officers at (325) 670-1260 or to learn more about supporting HSU.
